Tokyo Ghoul

 An Interesting Series

こにちは。Last week, I spent a great deal of time watching a series known as Tokyo Ghoul. It was an interesting plot that begged the question of whether or not humans can truly coexist with entities that feed on humans. Compared to other action-oriented anime, the series seemed to focus much more on the setting/environment by carefully adjusting the lighting to give off a dark and melancholic atmosphere. I highly recommend the series to anyone who craves a deeply philosophical story with hints of Japanese culture.

Also,

the series allowed me to practice some of my Japanese.  Words such as しつれいします、おはよございます、ありがとうございます、いってきます、and いってらっしゃい were frequently used. Unfortunately, I could not fully make out some of the longer sentences due to a lack of understanding of certain particles. However, I still feel that I reinforced some of my vocabulary!
