Self-Introduction

 じこしようかい

こんにちは。私わノックス。あめりかじんです。にねんせいです。わたしのせんこうわしんりがくです。

Earlier this week, I finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion. The series was truly remarkable in terms of its ability to portray existential dread. In addition, its portrayal of the distinction between one's self-conception and external conceptions of one's person highlighted the equivocal nature of reality. The show also discusses a dilemma known as the Hedgehog's Dilemma—a sociological dilemma proposed by Arthur Schopenhauer. In short, it supposes that humans must always remain separated to some degree to prevent suffering. In other words, the closer that humans grow to one another, the greater the risk of pain. Given the aforementioned notion, it would then seem necessary to deem our perceived understanding of idealized bonds as nothing more than mere fantasy—which would simply act antithetical to one's being if established.
